THAW Orkney is administering the Orkney Money Matters (OMM) referral pathway and cash-first fund, a partnership set up to increase access to advice and cash-based support for anyone worried about money.
See below for resources and options for referring to the OMM pathway, including self-referral using the online form.
Please reach us at info@thaworkney.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If you would benefit from advice or financial support, this form can be used to send contact details and details of your circumstances to an Orkney Money Matters caseworker (through the delivery partners, Citizen's Advice, THAW Orkney and Foodbank). They will then get in touch with you to offer support.
This form records details and your consent for us to share this information on a joint online referral system. It allows referrals between agencies without the need to repeat information.
It’s up to you whether you want to make a referral. If you’d rather get in contact with the organisations directly and not be added to the system, you can choose to do so.
You can also choose to be referred to a specific partners through the pathway. Then only key information (name, contact details and basic referral information) will be added and visible to partners.
However, if you wish to access support through the Orkney Money Matters pathway, you will be asked additional information by the OMM Link Worker.
The Link Worker will usually be from Orkney CAB but, if preferred, can be from another delivery partner. More detailed information will be shared between delivery partners (Citizen's Advice, THAW Orkney and Foodbank) to support access to services, such as a cash-first fund. See thaworkney.co.uk/orkney-money-matters for more information.
Yes, you can withdraw your consent. If you change your mind about sharing data through the OMM referral system, please contact us and we will remove your data from the system.
This joint statement describes what information will be shared and in which contexts for anyone referred into Orkney Money Matters.
The pathway overview provides more information on the pathway process.
The paper form can be used in situations where the online form or access to the Orkney Referral System is not available.
